国家基础学科人才培养基地：生物学国家理科基础科学研究与教学人才培养基地；国家生命科学与技术人才培养基地 Brief Introduction of School of Life Sciences School of Life Sciences consists of the Dept. of Biology, the Dept. of Biochemistry & Biotechnology, the Dept. of Biomedical Sciences, and the Dept. of Agricultural Biotechnology. Besides, there are National Institute of Diagnostics and Vaccine Development in infectious Diseases, and the Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education for Cell Biology and Tumor Cell Engineering. The School of Life Sciences was founded in November 1999 as an expansion of the original Dept. of Biology, which dates back to 1922. Many famous biologists have studied or worked in this department. The school is well known for its achievements in both teaching and scientific research. Studies in Parasitological Zoology, Mangrove, Biomedical Sciences and Agricultural Biotechnology are characteristics research fields of the school. At the same time, the school has been establishing extensive research collaboration at home and abroad. Cooperation with research institutes from USA, Canada, Germany, Netherlands, Hungary, Japan, Singapore and other countries has come into being. |
